Fred Townley established Townley Drop Forge on its present site in 1918, making Townley one of Australia 's oldest and most experienced forging companies. Townley specialises in the manufacture of eyebolts, eyenuts, turnbuckles, rigging screws, hooks and custom forgings for a wide variety of markets, including mining, automotive, primary, construction and marine industries.

Assisted by CAD/CAM technology, Townley also produces cavity dies using modern die cutting equipment.

Quality certifications include NATA approval of the quality system to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 and is a NATA registered testing laboratory.
